The first step in providing services is to ensure Sitter's Registry has a thorough
understanding of a client’s needs. At that time, we create a customized program
to address those needs. Once a caregiver is in place, Sitter's Registry maintains
personal contact through in-home visits and regular communication to the client
and/or family of the client. We also receive regular progress reports and communication
from each of our caregivers.
Adult care sitting services in any setting
Our sitters/caregivers are available for any location requested, including homes,
hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. We can staff state-certified
nursing assistants (CNAs) where needed. More and more clients have long-term
care insurance that usually requires a state licensed CNA.
Personal hygiene care
This is very important for the care of the client. This service can also be
a tremendous help to a family member serving as the primary caregiver since often
times it can be uncomfortable to help a mother, father, or grandparents with hygiene
care.
Dementia care
These clients require extra attention and added patience by the caregivers. A
sitter can provide the care needed to help this person remain in his or her own
home in a safe environment. Also, these clients can benefit from having a sitter
to assist them with group activities, during meal time, etc. in an assisted living
facility.
Medication reminders
Sitters can see that prescribed medications are taken properly. A logbook is
used to record all meds taken as well as the sitter’s notes as to the day’s activities.
Laundry and light housekeeping
While we are not a cleaning service, we do launder clothes and bed linens and
will ensure the bathrooms and kitchen are kept clean.
Meal planning and preparation
This can be a tremendous help to family members to know that their loved one
has had balanced meals during the day.
Grocery shopping and errands
This service can be very helpful if the client no longer drives or does not feel
like getting out to go to the grocery store, drug store, dry cleaner, etc. The
sitter can also take the client to the doctor, dentist, hairdresser, and the like.
24-hour availability
Our service can provide 24-hour care, seven days per week if needed. Also, our
office staff is available 24-hours a day for our clients and/ or sitters to answer
questions and address any concerns or problems that may arise.
Respite for family caregivers
Sometimes a family caregiver may simply need a break from the constant care for
a loved one. We can provide weekend care or temporary help when needed.
